Rory McIlroy's Masters Champions Dinner Menu Is Absurdly Baller

Every year, the defending Masters champion hosts the Champions Dinner on Tuesday of Masters week. It’s one of golf’s greatest traditions — a private dinner at Augusta National where only green jacket holders get a seat. The defending champ picks the menu and picks up the tab.

Rory McIlroy just revealed his, and honestly? It goes hard.

The Full Menu

Appetizers:

  • His mother’s bacon-wrapped dates (yes, his actual mom’s recipe)
  • Rock shrimp tempura
  • Georgia peach and ricotta flatbread
  • Crispy Vidalia onion rings

First Course:

  • Yellowfin tuna carpaccio — prepared in the exact style of Le Bernardin, his favorite restaurant in New York. Augusta National’s staff literally flew to Manhattan to learn the recipe from the chef. It’s a thin slice of French baguette topped with foie gras and tuna carpaccio.

Main Course (choose one):

  • Wagyu filet mignon
  • Seared salmon

Sides:

  • Irish champ (a nod to Northern Ireland)
  • Glazed carrots

Wine:

  • Four selections from Augusta National’s cellar

Why This Menu Rules

Most Champions Dinner menus are cool. Tiger did steak and chicken fajitas. Scottie Scheffler went full Texas with cowboy ribeye and jalapeño creamed corn. Jon Rahm kept it Spanish. Hideki Matsuyama served sashimi. Sandy Lyle brought haggis (respect).

But Rory’s menu hits different because every single item tells a story. The bacon-wrapped dates aren’t just an appetizer — they’re his mom’s recipe. The Vidalia onion rings are local to Georgia. The tuna carpaccio isn’t just tuna — it’s a recreation of his favorite dish from his favorite restaurant, prepared by Augusta’s staff who traveled to New York to learn it.

That’s not a dinner menu. That’s a love letter to the most important win of his career.

17 Years in the Making

Remember: McIlroy waited 17 years to complete the career Grand Slam. From 2011 to 2025, the Masters was the one that haunted him. Final-round collapses. Near-misses. The weight of an entire sport wondering if he’d ever do it.

Then he did. And now he gets to host the dinner.

“I think it would be pretty presumptuous to have a menu in your head before you actually win the tournament,” McIlroy said. “But I always thought about it — if I win the Masters one day, what would I want it to look like?”

The answer: wagyu, tuna flown in from Le Bernardin, his mom’s cooking, and four bottles from Augusta’s wine cellar. Legend behavior.

Masters Countdown: 3 Weeks

The 2026 Masters is April 10-13 at Augusta National. McIlroy will defend his title as the man who finally silenced every doubter. The field is stacked — Schauffele is in great form at the Valspar, Scottie Scheffler is Scottie Scheffler, and guys like Cameron Young are peaking at the right time.

But for one Tuesday night in April, it’s Rory’s room. And he’s serving wagyu.

Can’t wait.
